Do any of the villagers trigger you?

Poncho was one of my starters and one of my favourite villagers. I really love him. But when he wears his sporty shades, he reminds me of a very bad person.. and it really triggers negative feelings for me. It's almost bad enough that I want to let him go, but I hate that I'm so affected by it..

Do any of the villagers make you feel this way? Maybe I'm just crazy...

i wouldn’t say any of them trigger me but some of the villagers that i had in new leaf now remind me of what my life was like back then and who i chose to hang around, and while i still love those villagers dearly, i don’t enjoy the memories that they evoke ;;

Actually yes? Because Kyle reminds me of a guy I knew who actually went by the name Kyle. He was a racist and pretentious @$$hole, so I despise Kyle by association. I would say he’s my least favorite villager, I can’t stand him and his awful smug face and I get angry and upset whenever I see him. I actually feel hatred for Kyle... I know it isn’t the Animal Crossing character’s fault... but he reminds me too much of an actual person I knew...

All of them, the moment I see them doing Dance-Fu, or lift weights or exercise.

It is repugnant to me, and I wish they would either remove it.. or tone it down like, a CRAPLOAD before I get put off the game completely.

I hate that I'm starting to hate Wolfgang.. who has been my pal since 2005.

On my New Leaf save one of my first 3 villagers was Lucky. I was really happy at first because I knew he was a really popular character, but then I saw the 23 on his costume and my OCD kicked into play, telling me that this was a sign I would die at age 23 (the fact Lucky is probably a dead dog anyway didn't help). I got so panicked I restarted the game with a new save.

Coach and Marshal. Coach reminds me of an abuser and he also triggers my younger alter so it wasn't the best when he was in our town. And Marshal doesn't really 'trigger' me since the usage of that word implies genuine distress and panic response, but he was my ex's favorite so whenever I see him I get a bit choked up.

Yeah honestly, it triggers traumatic memories and it isn't really Poncho himself but the sporty shades that he wears a lot. In fact those glasses are a trigger in real life. I really wish he would stop wearing it.. I'm sorry to hear Coach triggered your alter hope you're doing better without him in your town anymore.

When I see Queenie on mystery islands, it triggers how rude she was to me as a kid in my Gamecube town. I can’t stand her and I wish I could brush her hair so those 3 stray hairs will go away.

I’m sad that there’s no way to get a villager to stop wearing the default extras they get : ( I hope it goes well for you, friend. And yes, it’s been great! She’s also super excited cause we’ll be hunting for her favorite villager soon! (Drago!)
