I've heard that amiibo-invited villagers will only move out if 1) you kick them out by moving in a different amiibo villager, or 2) you only have villagers moved in via amiibo. I can confirm that that's consistent with what I've seen in my town. I have 7 amiibo villagers and 3 villagers who moved in normally and both of my move-out prompts have been from the latter category.
Sylvana pinged me a few days ago (I stopped her). She's the first villager in my new town who asked to move. I'm not sure how it works this time but I have eight villagers that I moved in from Amiibo, one starting villager and one random (the two are old villagers). So I guess it's still possible to move them out naturally.
Yeah, I heard that they can move out normally, but it's super rare. I've been TTing for days (irl) to get either Bella, Stitches, or W. Link out. No luck.
This really bums me out, because I have almost all of my perma-villagers, with the exception of a few card villagers I moved in. Now I'll need to buy the cards for the other villagers I want to get my current card villagers to move out?
I'm more concerned because what if you mess up and don'r plot reset and their house is in the worst possible spot? You're stuck with it then? Like that's bull as far as I'm concerned.
Been having this issue too. None of my scanned in villagers prompt me to leave. It's really hard too because I'm trying to do an all deer town and when welcome amiibo was first released I scanned in like 3 villagers just for fun. I tried discussing this on gamefaqs but everyone there believes that it can't be true since two or three people said it hasn't happened to them.
Glad to know I'm not the only one being frustrated with it lol. I thought something was wrong with my game... on the bright side I ordered the hello kitty pack amiibo pack to get Chelsea (deer) and I ordered Fuchsia off eBay. So I'll have my all deer town soon
I think it's just really rare. I think it's because the game believes you WANT that villager in your town (because you scanned them in) so it will take longer for them to ping.
For me, Limberg, Inkwell, Epona, Puck, and Freya have never once pinged, and they were all amiibos. I had to cycle out Puck and Epona out with Bluebear and Midge just to get new villagers (since I liked the others that weren't amiibos). Since I intend to have Limberg the longest (and no more than five amiibo villagers), I'll see if eventually Limberg will ping me to leave or not.
Ohh, geez...I bought a bunch of amiibo cards, and was planning on just scanning random ones in whenever I needed to fill the 10th spot for fun. Thankfully I only scanned Vic. I'll just have to keep using the campsite from now on. Anyway only 2 villagers pinged since his arrival, so I've got a lot of testing to do. I'll let y'all know how long it takes before he pings me.
I managed to get one Amiibo card out after 6 hours of irl time to get Rasher out but now cant get Roscoe out so I can move a new one in ugh so hard when you have dreamies aswell.
