When a town has 1 pond, it's usually two ponds combined into one. 2-3 ponds= 5 rocksIs there actually a correlation between ponds and rocks? I have 1 pond and 5 rocks, so that doesn't really fit the theory.
Now I'm at a loss for words xD I can't explain that one lolMy town has one pond and I have 9 rocks, I think it`s random maybe?
Shes probably right. I have 1 pond and 6 rocks. Hate to break it to ya, but there's no technological reason. My town has one pond and I have 9 rocks, I think it`s random maybe?
So that means rocks are your friend! Ponds are your true enemy, because they take up more space than rocks do.

rocks aren't actually random at all! the amount of rocks you have depends on how many non-river and non-beach acres you have.
here's my towns acres:

i have 6 non-river and non-beach acres (waterfall, grass, town hall, train station, plaza and re-tail), so I have a total of 6 rocks. even if these acres were switched around, or if the grass acre was changed into a pond acre, i would still have the same amount of rocks.
the rocks are also in the extact same space on every individual acre. so if you had the train station with the pond, the rock would be 4 spaces away from the pond on the left. i don't, so it's closer to the river.
There is always a rock near Re-Tail and The Plaza. There is always a rock in front of Town Hall. There is always a rock in front of The Train Station. I believe the rest are random.
that's... weird. there shouldn't ever be a rock between your river and your beach, is it a fake? i do know of the 2 rock train station though, that's the one with the rock in front of the message board thingy (or it should be, there's only 3 train station acres.).
edit: wait, is the rock in between a waterfall that flows to the beach or the one that is at the start of the river?
okay, yeah that's a perfectly acceptable rock, i probably should've been more clear with my terms haha.
