Do Actions On Tours Count For Badge Progress?

I am on the grind for the fish and big badges and I would like to know whether catching fish on tours contributes to the 4000 needed for the gold badges, do the same also apply for balloons etc?

Fishes and bugs caught on the fishing or bug tours (e.g., sharks on the shark battle tour and dragonflies on the giant dragonfly tour) will not count towards your badges and will not enter your encyclopedia. However, any fish or bug you catch on a tour, that you can bring back to the island, will count.

Balloon popping tours do not contribute to the count for the balloon badges.

^Basically. Only thing going on tours count for is the actual tour badge.
