It has never worked for me.
It's about time I get my pwp's

So, I empty my pockets and fill them with flowers.
I don't have a wetsuit so i check the beach for any animals and then go on the dock (cause that should work r8)
wait for 2 - 5 min
go around town and i get nothing.
no pings at all.

If you're walking on the beach you have to keep moving, or else it doesn't work. Also, if you time travel a lot, make sure the villagers aren't angry at you because you haven't talked to them. It also has to be for 5+ minutes.

(also since walking for 5 minutes Hurts My Tiny Hands if yours hurt as well put a dime under your circle pad and routinely check it so you can switch directions. Best of luck!)
