Diving trick

When you do the diving trick for pwps, how long do you usually stay in the water..? Is 5 minutes enough?

Yes 5 minutes is a good ammount of time!
Also if you want the process to go faster try filling your pockets with flowers so villagers wont ask you for items!

Okay thanks! I always got told to wait 10 minutes, and its soo boring to wait for 10 minutes each time xD thanks!

♥ It works for me!
I only wait around 5 minutes before I go round my villagers and that always get me a ping,
even if it's not PWP suggestions all the time :c
But yeah, 5 minutes works! c: ♥

Yep, & I drop my bells somewhere so they don't ask me to buy stuff from them. Makes it a little easier.

Also remember to talk to villagers that should NOT ping you, in case you 'need to take a break'. After they say that another villager can ping you immediately afterwards.

I think they can but I could be remembering wrong and getting the catchphrase and greeting mixed up.

When they're not asking you this and can't ask you to buy or sell items, they just ping you about random things so you can still get lots of those until they ask for a PWP.

If there is someone you want and don't want them to leave, keep them in an area buried with holes... I did that with Colton to get a totem pole. Then I tried again the next day and he kept moving and thought we were fighting and I missed a hole and he sneaked out of my trap. haha

i'm lacking pwps in order to get a perfect town status and i need my villagers to give me requests.. :^(

Getting out of sight from the villagers helps so people use the diving trick. Put on a wetsuit and stay in the water for 5 minutes. Make sure to fill your pockets with flowers or shells and don't carry any tools. They can ask you to fish.
After an hour of playtime the villagers wouldn't ping you so make sure to keep track of the time. Talk to the one you don't want the PWP from when it's pass your hour playtime. Than go see if another will ping. Keep going into the water until you get at PWP.

The diving trick didn't work in one of my towns. I went over in the corner and started harvesting perfect fruit. When I came back they ran up,requested and took off.
