Diving trick vs saving trick?

So I only need 3 specific PWP's before I can start my planned town layout, but I'm a little fuzzy on the 'saving' trick.

I know how to use the diving trick to get, PWP's but it's a pain. So I'm trying the Saving trick- just save and restart and a villager should ding you every time? I do get dings, but not every time. Is there anything else I can do?

Make sure to carry no bells in your pocket and try having all flowers in your inventory so it lessens the chance of them wanting to sell you something. I try to do this when other villagers are asleep so you can find them easily and trap them if necessary.

I'd forgotten about the full pockets thing- but that does help, doesn't it? XD

Yes. Otherwise, the chances of them giving you something will increase. But make sure your items are filled with FLOWERS and not items such as furniture of clothing, because the chance of them asking to buy them will also increase.

I find the saving trick faster. Though, works better when you're almost done completing your PWPS. You can focus on one without having to wait 5 mins. If the villager you're trying to get you to ping, save, quit and try again. If its a ping but not a PWP request, then do it again until you get it.

I've been doing that for Pekoe to get some sort of PWP from her. Can't remember what PWP it was.

I would try the save trick first. It's less time consuming for one, and far less involved than the diving trick. Good luck!

I can also confirm the saving trick has worked out more often for me. When you load up the game, there will always be a villager wanting to ping you so as long as you carry no bells and have all flowers, you'll have a higher chance for PWPs.

The diving trick can also work but I find it super time consuming and I personally think it works best when other villagers are sleeping and if you're targeting one or 2 specific villagers.

im not too sure but i know you just save&quit, go back on and some animal should ping and then repeat till you get a pwp?

Diving trick does take a while haha.

I'm curious though because there's been many times I started the game but no pings. When I start up the game, does it have to be my "first" startup of the day? Sorry if that makes no sense lol
