lurkings is just when you have a villager in boxes you vm/pm the person who's lurking on your lurking list for that villager and you post the villager on your thread so means you have vm'd the person but everyone can adopt the villager
reserving means when you have a villager in boxes that someone already reserved you vm/pm the person and you hold that villager for 24 hours, they have 24 hours to pick up that villager otherwise you can put for adopting and reservation fee is yours if they don't pick up the villager
you can also just post reserved villager but also post that's already has been reserved
