Displaying Small QR Designs as paintings

I recently downloaded this picture of a dog ( https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BFew_MYCUAIBBQD.jpg:large ) that I intended to hang up in my room similarly to the picture. But when I did, it displayed like this.

Am I displaying it wrong or is this reserved for the creator of the design? I'd ask the page owner but...

They changed an item at Re-Tail, that's why the border aren't to bright.
