Discovery about snowmen

So I don't know if anyone has posted this anywhere because I never saw this any where, but I would always get so frustrated when making the snowman or even the snow tyke and the snowballs are on opposite ends of town so by time I get them together they're to big for the snow tyke.
But when I rolled the snow balls over the dirt or the cement stones in town I realized it made the snowballs smaller! Not sure if this works when the snowballs are really big but it did work when they were medium sized or am I wrong and just made this up in my head? Lol anyways I'm pretty sure this works.
Plus I'm new to this game so if everyone already knows this, my bad. Hahaha

Mine are never ever close to each other. Wish I found this out sooner! Lol

Yea! I always double check the guides before building snowpeople (for the sizes)
But right now im building Snowmen for the bingo items (Mostly the Lift Chairs)

Yes, that has always been true! Dirt and cement make your snowballs smaller. This is so that you can adjust the size of your snowballs to create a specific snowman, because the location of snowball spawns is random, and like you said, they may spawn too far away from each other to create a Snowtyke or Snowmam without being shrunk. I believe this is why towns have those "permanent" dirt spots.
