disappearing tools

I ended the multi player session and both my silver fishing rod and silver net disappeared. It's happened before with my fishing rod but I thought I'd sold it by mistake. Has anyone else had this problem?

Absolutely positive. I had just been using them, ended the multiplayer session and went to get my net out and it wasn't there. Checked my pockets and rod and net were gone

hmmm... i just did a quick google search and it looks like this a glitch that has been happening since the game's release (earliest instance i found was august 2013) when you have an item equipped, enter a building, then exit empty handed.

and, yes, i'm still searching! hehe

tried looking for a solution to your disappearing tools as well and it looks like it hasn't been solved D: i hope we get a patch/update or something soon since there seems to be a lot of small bugs that have juuuust made their way through

glitches like this are even less likely in the cartridge …
are you sure sure sure sure SURE you didn't touch them

you can report glitches to nintendo though probably

Yep absolutely 110% positive. I was fishing, a few minutes later ended the multiplayer session with my daughter and then they were gone. I didn't enter or leave a building and only noticed it when I needed to use it again less than 2 minutes later.
