Disappearing time capsule

A while ago, Velma wanted me to bury a time capsule. I buried it near my house, and remembered to tell Velma I buried it. The next day, it was gone. I don't understand how it can just disappear like that, but it did. Today, Velma asked me to dig it back up. I can't do that because it's gone! I hope she doesn't ask me again and completely forgets the time capsule. I don't want to bury any more time capsules if this is going to happen.

It disappears until it's time to dig it up. Then it appears again in the same spot. It's so you don't accidentally dig it up before she wants to have it back
Give it a little time though. When grizzly told me to dig it up, it didn't appear for a few days

It's supposed to disappear at first. Try walking into a building and out/save and continuing? It might show up then. it should come up eventually!

Well, there's something on top of the spot. I hope it comes back if I remove it and then save and quit.

Once a capsule is buried and vanishes, planting trees, bushes, flowers, or any other items in the space where the capsule was originally buried will lead to the capsule being removed. It is recommended that it is buried on the beach, or near a building where it will not be disturbed.

*EDIT* When Celia asked me to bury a Time Capsule for her I buried it just in front of her house, next to the little sign to the left of the door.

And... Oh, no. It didn't come back. It was just a furniture item. I guess I shouldn't have put that there... Sigh...

Edit: wait... whaaaatt?! I just found it buried behind a tree. That's not where I buried it!

They definitely move. I put a time capsule next to a permanent rock every time, and if a fossil appears there and I don't shovel it up when the TC wants to appear, it moves over a space.

I always bury mine directly in front of my house so I know to dig there, since I don't always dig up other cracks. I always dig it up before they ask, too. I have yet to have a villager as me for it before I dig it up. lol

LOL I buried it and dig it again for Nibbles. She's angry about it and took back the time capsule (I can't toss it so....) but a week later she asked me to dig it up! I like...errr...isn't you already take back? But a crack appear at the same place and the time capsule is there =x
