Dirt Pathers, tell me your secrets!

I've decided on dirt paths and if anyone would have any tips, I'd really appreciate it.
I've been running around on my paths over and over again and I just need to know how frequently to run them and if I should save and continue or if there's any other things I should know and if there's any way to expedite it. (possibly)

Ably, just keep walking the same route, wherever you want your paths.

It's good if you have bushes along your paths and corners, as you can run, wearing the grass faster.

I think grass-wear occurs each time you load the game and walk/run around.

So play it a few times a day to speed things up! ^_^

Edit: I had a bit of grass that seemed to be taking forever to wear down, so every time I loaded the game, I had my character(s) run over/up and down that part, several times.

I've actually unintentionally created dirt paths in almost my whole town through actually having paths. I don't know if it's the most efficient method or whether or not people who have dirt paths in their town think it's tedious, but maybe if you put down a pattern first to outline where you want your dirt paths to be and then just run over that constantly (which is pretty much what I did without wanting to) it could create your desired dirt path.
