physical all the way :)
While you only have 1 3DS NOW, down the road you may get another one or an XL as a present, and if that happens, you can have your mayors visit eachother's towns! :D/

I've taken my SD card out MANY times to upload pictures to my computer/switch to Pokemon X. It won't do anything.

You can upload your screenshots to any social sites and save them directly to your PC from them via the 3DS Internet browser. You can also use Dropbox. There really is no reason or excuse to remove the SD card unless you are getting a bigger one.

I have 4 physical copies. I wrote on sharpie on the back which is which, but it tends to rub off quickly since I use them so much, so I just keep writing it in. I don't like digital games for the 3DS. The home screen is horrendously slow, and all that nonsense about corruption put me up in arms ages ago. Plus, I like having actual physical copies of things unless it's a game for the PC.

I would recommend physical, I get nervous that I'll lose them sometimes but I've only ever truly lost a few games and I can thank my sibling for that.

Oh, and I have one 3DS. Sadly.

I would go with a physical copy, simply because it's that much harder to mess up your data.

I've seen a lot of horror stories, and yes, turning off at the wrong time will corrupt both digital and physical copies; however, at least with a second physical copy, you'll never have to worry about the SD card causing problems.

That is to say, you can take and transfer all the screenshots that you want, and never have to worry about that removable component getting corrupted. So, roughly 1/2 the risk of corruption, if I understand the issues correctly.

Just store the second physical copy with your other games, and it shouldn't get lost, hmm?

I like the idea of having my game separate so if something goes wrong with the console it's not an even huger disaster to get your save data...and heaven forbid it have to be sent off to be repaired and you have to wait weeks.
I, personally, was told 1 cartridge and 1 digital copy on one DS was the way to go though for avoiding corruption but...it all seems to be up in the air these days. There are quite a few people with 2 cartridges on the same ds that haven't seemed to report any problems.

I'm not trying to make an excuse.

If I have 1000+ pictures that I can easily drag and drop from the SD card to a folder on my computer, I'm going to take my SD card out and do it that way. My internet is slow and I don't want to waste anymore time than I need to.

I take my SD card out at least once a day because my digital copy of Pokemon X is on a different card and the worst problem I've had was that my Pokemon X SD card didn't read at first and I had to re-insert it into the DS and it worked fine.

People need to stop trying to scare others by saying "If you take the SD card out your game will corrupt!". No. It will not corrupt if you're not stupid and try to mess with it and the data within it. If SD cards weren't meant to be taken out from the system, then they shouldn't be removable in the first place.
