If there are different versions, how are they different, and where can you buy them? I just went to the store and got mine, they didn't say anything about different versions. What is the difference?

Most regions of the world have different versions of AC:NL- the ones you hear most about are the NA (North American) version, the JP (Japanese) version, the EU (European) versions, and the KR (South Korean) version. Your version will be from the region you bought it from, usually.

The main difference, other than language, is exclusive holidays, items, or DLC. Regional versions of games are region-locked, which means they will only play on a 3DS (or other gaming console) that was bought in the same region- so if you have a NA 3DS, you cannot play a JP version of AC:NL on it, and vice-versa.

Edit: You can, however, trade exclusive items with players of different versions. So say if you wanted the exclusive Japanese 7-11 set, you could buy/trade for it without a problem.

Thank you so much for explaining that all so clearly. :)
Now I know what they are talking about, and I won't run around looking for different versions.
Thanks! :)
