Something I find really enjoyable is new and interesting knowledge to learn and to share as well, so in this thread share a random trivia fact that you know of. This isn't going to be a challenge of who can one-up who but more just like a 'here's a weird thing that I know.' Also if people get things wrong then that's alright, this is just for fun. One of the reasons of their rise to power was the sacred band, a VERY formidable army that comprised of gay men and their lovers.
