All my beach has is some banana and coconut palms along the side of the cliffs. But now after seeing this thread, I might add some custom design to be. But sadly my map has very thin beaches, so it will be a challenge.
Just my regular coloured flowers that I've replaced over time with better coloured hybrids. I keep them around just in case I need them again, but my beaches are getting pretty full now.
I like the idea of using QR codes to do towels and designs in the sand, though. I've seen that on tumblr before and it's super cute.
A few coconut and banana palms dotted around along with an small army of blue roses. I might try to decorate a little bit at a later date. I'd love to have a few patterns here and there, but I'm hesitant to make a new character for a pattern mule.
Good ideas! Mine was a hybrid breeding ground and now it's just a rainbow of hybrids. I put big chunks of each color and just filled it up, but I'm going to do the beach towel idea on my smaller beach--too cute!
whoops, i didn't even notice this thread got so many replies and views,,, (as i said in my introduction thread, i'm kind of a lurker!)
and to be honest i never really had the idea to use the beaches as hybrid breeding grounds so i'm really surprised so many people do that lmao... i accidentally planted some roses on my beach once but i just... didn't expect to be able to breed them there... it sounds pretty clever though, since they can't get destroyed by plots etc.
that one picture on the first page is super cute by the way, i'm jealous of your huge beach thingy there, my beaches are super narrow!
just in case anyone is interested in my own beaches since i started this thread and stuff - they aren't empty anymore, i put some stuff on them so my town can become an interesting dream town one day but yeah, it's impossible to make beaches as interesting as the main town :<
This is a REALLY interesting point and I will have to try it out. The main point being that I just have really never seen another town that did this/ did things such as other posters have mentioned. Maybe I'll make my own patterns for the sand. =)
