Main town was set one day ahead and 4 hours behind. I did this so I could play events with the villagers and than spend time with my family. Changed the time because I didn't start playing until 9pm real time. I would have missed most of the events.
All my other town are set on different months. 4 fish off or another event in one day is too much. Right now I have a fall, May and December town. The last town for just growing weeds was set on January 1st, 2012. More time for TTing to grow weeds.
Nope I often rush into things and I can't wait too long until a certain date to play the game/make a new game since I always want to play animal crossing as soon as I load it up. So i'm not really fussed about what day I make it on. However at one point I was a little particular about what day I did make it on since it was one of my ex-friends birthdays on that day and tbh I didn't want to make it on a day that reminded me of them. Just nope, so I waited until the next day to make my town a day after their birthday.
100% yes, i started the day i got it 3 years ago so yeah it's just something i've built up and i want it to be something i've stuck with from the start
No, I mean I almost did with my third town because I wanted to start on January 1 but it took me three days to find a map I liked lol. But it felt disingenuous. I like being able to look at my TPC and see the actual date I started my town, the date becomes special to me because it's the day I started (if that makes sense?)
When I created my first town, I didn't care. I just started it on the day I got the game.
When I reset it, though... well, I already knew that I would tt a lot. I knew I would speed through the beginning stages of the game. I also knew that I don't like to tt too far into the future. So rather than starting my game on the real date and getting too far ahead of myself, I decided to tt six months into the past so that I could work towards the real date.
I figured that if I'm already going to fiddle around with my date settings, why not start my game on Halloween?
I voted "no," because I've never started a town on a particular day on purpose. However, I did start my town of AHS on my birthday (Oct. 12) last year! I didn't plan it that way. I was just really excited to start the town, and I had some time to kill while my mom was baking my cake. Haha!
*Edited to add: I didn't receive the game for my birthday, I already had it, and just happened to start the town that day.
I went with real time when I got the game since it was on my birthday 2 years ago (though tbh I probably wouldn't have even thought to start on another day at that time!) I'm happy though cause it makes my town feel more special to me (& more memorable!).
