My boyfriend and I bought a PS4 from GameStop a few months ago. We've never had problems with used consoles, but of course, we got a stupid one. We've tried every fix we can for the auto eject problem, and nothing fixes it. I used to work at GameStop, and I got my console at a discount, so I would normally feel bad for this. But we planned on taking this console in (hate me all you want) trading it in, and getting a different one. Normally I would feel bad for this, but the new employees are a**holes and the manager is an idiot. Plus, they almost always take the consoles in, and then after taking them in the switch them to defective and send them in anyways. Don't know why, they lose money that way. So I'm sure it will end up getting fixed anyways. But we didn't want to do it because I'm sure they'd question it, and wouldn't take it if we told them what was wrong with it. But they have the Limited Edition destiny console, the white one with gold accents. So it's a newer console. This would give us a perfect excuse. We're trading it in because we want the limited edition one. We really do actually want it. This way we can purchase a warranty, and also have 30 days to swap it if we need to. But the question is. Does anyone know if the newer consoles still have this problem? Or is it fixed?

Not everyone has it. But basically like 99% of people who have a PS4 have the problem.

Odd, this is the very first time I have ever heard of this issue. Googled it and turns out it's pretty common (as you say) and I'm REALLY lucky xD

Even if you are not under warranty, Sony might fix it for free. Worth a shot, try to contact them and see what they say.

Sadly I have tried all of these and more to try and fix it. Nothing has worked.
And my console most likely isn't from Launch. I bought it used a few months ago.

Never heard of this issue until now and most I know who bought the most recent PS4 LEs haven't had issues so, you could always take a gamble.

I think I'm going to. This one started doing this a couple months ago, and is getting worse lately.
We bought it in May, and it probably started doing it August or so. Luckily it hasn't happened when my BF has been playing a game or he'd rip his hair out.
But this way we can pay for a 1 year warranty, and have the free 30 days to bring it back as well if anything goes wrong.
