did my reset make leif disappear?

exposition: i'm an idiot, and sometimes i hit the power button instead of home or start or whatever because my muscle memory is so psyched to hit a button that it doesn't care about what buttons do what.

so today, i did all my normal chores around town, and also talked to leif to get the topiaries. when i went to hit select to save and quit, i accidentally hit the power button instead, so new leaf closed and all my unsaved data was lost. i'm used to making silly mistakes like that, so i just opened up my file, blah blah resetti, and did everything again, except this time, leif wasn't in my plaza. does this mean that not only am i a clumsy dork, but i also won't be getting the topiaries? :c

try going in on a new character and see if leif is in the plaza. If he is then save and then go in on your mayor.

I played this morning, and I saved after playing. I hadn't talked to Leif, I was planning on getting the PWPs later, but now my Leif isn't there either! :< I don't think it has to do with not saving.

oh no! D: that's a shame. i'm sorry he's left on you too. i'm hoping the topiaries will be in the pwp listing tomorrow anyway, but i'm definitely not counting on it. :/

I've noticed that a lot of people (myself included) have been missing Lief. I think that he leaves at 7 PM.

Do you guys have any objections to tt'ing? Perhaps if you went back in time 1 day... speak to any dreamies just to be on the safe side, save, then reset to this morning after 6 am.
