Flick is on my island and I wanted to give him 3 scorpions but I accidentally gave him 3 butterflies....is it too late to give him my scorpions? Do I have to wait until next time he comes?

You could close the game and hope it didn't autosave after giving him the wrong bugs, but the chances are slim.
