did anyone else know u can sit on rocks??

i haven't played new leaf in ages but i'm pretty bored and i decided to pick it back up again

so yeah anyway, i walked into a rock and my character sat on it, i'm probably just over excited because it's almost christmas but i'm mindblown lol

also my town is so painfully basic, it's amazing i played this at all tbh

Yeah, I think that was something that got added with the Welcome Amiibo update. I've ended up sitting on rocks by accident a bunch of times because I try to get very close when hitting them with my shovel.

That happens to me all the time... in fact, of all the times I've ever sat on my town's rocks were by accident while trying to either dig holes or run past them.

It was an unannounced thing that was added in the Welcome Amiibo update. So don't feel too badly about it.

Awww, yeah I remember when they added this feature in! It was so cute haha, I know it's just a little thing but I love being able to sit on the rocks. It almost makes them being in the middle of my paths a little less frustrating.

I believe this was included in the Happy Home Designer update! It was so cool to get such a huge update so far into having the game! I'm disappointed you can't sit on rocks in New Horizons, because I can imagine a lot of really cute areas with sittable rocks, but I understand that since we can put furniture outside we're meant to use real chairs instead. No fun, but I get it.

Yeah like others said, I think they added it in the Welcome Amiibo update. Sometimes it can be annoying like when I'm just trying to pass through a narrow area and my character decides to sit down.

Yeah, one of the first things I tested out in New Horizons was whether or not you could still sit on rocks XD Unfortunately, that feature did not carry over.

I knew this shortly after updating the game to Welcome Amiibo in 2016, but you know what's remarkable? Villagers never seem to want to sit on rocks, they seemingly prefer most of the benches that you put up or the artsy tree stumps that just happen to appear whenever you feel like using an axe

I noticed this too! My villagers never sit on rocks. I wonder if only the players can sit on them?

Yes, and you can sit in three stumps also! Its pretty coll, I never saw a villager in the rocks, but Peanut and Nan seems to love sits in the tree stumps
