In my last trade, I traded Chief for Diana. But the problem is... that even if she agreed to move in my town, and after TT a day forward, I don't see her house's emplacement in my town.

Is it due to all the fountains I placed in my town ? I have built approximately between 20 and 25 fountains in the biggest part of my map for controlling easily the emplacement of the new villagers. My goal is to concentrate all my villagers in a precise area. Thanks to all the PWPs I built, this area is now the only empty area of my city.

But Diana doesn't want to show up. I prospected all my city, even in the area I put fountains but she isn't here.

Can someone tell me why ?

Is it at all possible you didn't leave enough room for Diana to put her house? This has happened to a few other people, and if this is the case you will have received a letter on your mayor where Diana tells you she can't move in after all. They never specify it's due to a lack of space though, I believe they mention that "something came up" or something along those lines.

However, the only way to find out if this is what's happened is to load up your mayor, which is what I would advise you not to do. I'm not sure exactly what can be done at this point though, but maybe other people have ideas. I think there's a way to safely TT back to a day where you haven't built your last PWP yet, which might open up enough space for her.. Though I'm not exactly sure how this works, and maybe you wouldn't even want her in that spot, anyway.

The only other thing I can think of is that it's just going to take her longer than one day to move in. According to some people's stories on this forum, it can take up to several in-game days to weeks for an adopted villager to show up, but I have no idea what would be the cause of this. What you can do though (as long as you haven't loaded up your mayor yet) is to TT a few weeks ahead with the 3DS clock, create a new character again and see if she's moved in properly after all.

Thanks for your answer.

I doubt she has not enough room since my free area in which there is no PWPs is large enough for two or three new emplacement.

But I think I'll TT a week ahead with the 3DS clock, as you said. (I didn't load the mayor)

Go to the next in-game day then. One week and you might not like the location (I understand you blocked off certain areas with fountains, but you know, just to be safe). Only real explanation is that she's moving in in the near in-game future, since there wasn't a letter and you did claim that there is enough room for the plot.

Yeah, doesn't sound like space is a problem if that's the case. I hope you'll find her!

TTing a week ahead is just to see if she'll eventually show up. He shouldn't actually save right there and then (unless he likes the location, isn't worried about other villagers having moved out and has the Beautiful Town Ordinance in effect).

Erf. The problem is still not solved. I TT a week ahead and she isn't here. Maybe I have to TT ahead day by day instead of TT ahead by a week ?

Maybe I have to destroy a fountain even if I pretend there is enough place (which is the case).

I'm preeetty sure TTing day by day won't make a difference, since you already know she won't be there even in a week from now (someone please correct me if this actually does make a difference).

It's not really possible to destroy a fountain without going on your mayor, so don't do that. Like I said in my first post, I do believe it's possible to TT back to a date before you've built your last PWP and go from there, but I'm really not sure how to safely go about doing that. I really hope someone else can help out here.

It could take up to two weeks in my experience, TT day-by-day and make a new character every time. (Unless you don't care about plot placement.)

Oh, also, before doing anything else I would advise you to make a much bigger leap in time (like 6 months) before doing anything else. I've heard from people it can take up to several in-game weeks, so maybe one week just wasn't enough. Again, remember to do this with a new character!

They can do this:

Make sure you have not started up the game on any character before you do this. (You'll just screw yourself over and nothing will be fixed.)
TT back to the day you invited her in.
Demolish a PWP.

Oh, so that's how it works! Guess you do need your mayor for that, haha. Thanks for explaining.

Maybe no more villagers want to move in my small island... How strange !

Before Diana, when I get Bob, I reseted approximately 400 times for getting him in the desired area (my island) but I abandoned resetting since it was no use. It's strange because my small island counted 8 villagers and there were enough space for 2 or 3 more villagers (by respecting the 2 steps gap between houses horizontally and 3 steps gap between houses vertically). But Bob was only moving around the island... So after Bob moved in I built fountains in all my map except in the island.

Well, now Chief has moved out of my ISLAND so there is a free place FOR SURE for Diana but... no. They don't want to install their house in the island.

Is their a curse on my city or what ? lol

This game is a pain sometimes.

Did you pick up Diana the same day Chief was in boxes? The game just needs a day to get rid of Chief's house.

So it should be:
Day 1 Chief in boxes - Pick up Diana
Next Day Chief's house is gone - No Diana
Third Day Diana will plot

This happened to me when I adopted Beau the same day Cherry was in boxes.

You're right ! It was happened. I'm gonna TT back, I'll load the mayor the day I bought Diana then I'll TT a day ahead, load again then TT a day ahead again and create a new character. Maybe it will work. ( I hope)

Did it matter if I TT back in the wrong date ?

I have no idea, if you want to plot reset, I'd be careful. Maybe go to the day Chief was in boxes, go to the next day and load up a new character, make sure Chief's house is gone and that Diana hasn't plotted (only if you care about plot resetting, if not, just load up the game on your mayor one day, then tt ahead another)

Thank you ! The problem is solved ! Thank you a lot ! Really !

Diana is in my town !
