Devastated :,(

I'm sorry about what happened.... If you need flowers, fruit or anything, just ask me! I'll happily lend you a hand! UvU

I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm not very wealthy so I can't help you on that front, but if you want to catalog some items, I'm your man. ^_^

;'( i hope you can rebuild your town soon!! </3

If you need help, items, bells, i can definitely help!

{I can even get some of your dreamies for you if you'd like!!}

But technically you're only supposed to do it on the home menu.

Also, you're technically not supposed to reset anyways.

Irrelevant. It is not intended behaviour. Resetting or popping out your card should not cause hard memory to be corrupted. It is bad design if that happens.

Well no kidding for that part. But I'm just saying there's no way they can prevent it from corrupting even when it's accidental.
But if you don't save before quitting, there's no saying that you will be safe.

Going to be doing my first big giveaway this week sometime. Hope you can enter. So sorry that this happened. I have accidently ejected my games 3 times now when playing. I would be devastated if I lost my town.

It would be nice if nintendo could put a protector flap over where the cartridge goes in. That would help for sure. 2 of the times where when I had my DS in a make shift carry case. Now I have a proper DS case.

It's unlikely that it was the cartridge popping out that caused the corruption, but rather closing the DS before it was saved and then ejecting it. Multiple people have said they have popped theirs out, and it was fine (including myself. My husband popped it out and he is one lucky SoB nothing happened XD) I do think the should have a way to backup your town, just because it is such a large project. .

yeah saving a copy of your town to the SD card would be awesome....but no use crying over spilled milk...whats gone is gone and im kinda grateful that my grass is now all fresh and new and I haven't run since I started anew!

Hey Sourpuss, I'm sorry about what happened to your game.

I'm impressed you are finding the will to start over. A game like AC is so unique in that there is no real end goal, but it's the daily activities and interactions which makes it so interesting. I hope you find new reasons to love your new town and re-discover the magic which kept you playing all these months!

aw thank you Clive! These are such nice words and well wishes!
I didn't immediately bond with my town but now it's starting to shape up.....It takes some getting used to but I've had some great help and tips :)

This makes me wonder why Nintendo doesn't allow backups for ACNL.

Simple - duplication. You back up your town, trade whatever really valuable items like DLC you have to another town, restore your backup, and now you have two sets of that item.

Maybe if they made the backup system cost a fee...

Also you could reset your backups and have multiple copies of the game for free.
