Recently, I had a giveaway for clothes, furniture, and others things like that during my town reconstruction. I'll be holding the next giveaway next week if you'd like to come pick up some things.

Wait, so you lost your game just because your cartridge was ejected? I never knew that could happen. I'll have to be more careful about that now! I really wish the game couldn't be corrupted so easily. It's just...so sad. 
I'm so sorry you lost your town, though. Ugh - that must feel awful. You certainly had a lot accomplished.
But still, I'm wishing you the very best of luck with your new town, and I hope things only get better!

Not sure if you're familiar with the "Island" trick, but if you need money to upgrade your house and construct some PWPs, I can teach you how! With this trick, you can earn around 300,000 bells each trip.
Sorry to hear your loss. I would be devastated too since I must've put at least 100+ hours into this game. How'd you handle talking to your fianc? after that? xD

aw sorry for what happened.
but askgjkfdgl; three times today i accidentally ejected out my cartridge while the game was on pause.
three times i could have risked my pixelated life

i have owned this game for only a short time, and i have ejected the cartridge at least 5 times unintentionally so far during sleep mode (power is still on but screen is closed), however, upon putting the cartridge back (while power is on, and screen closed) and starting the game again, it always informs that i have lost any work since the last save. but my town is still there.
i am shocked that this can happen. -_-

I'm so sorry for you, too! I just saw this thread. I close my DS all the time when I have to jump up for something, and it has also ejected (rarely) but NEVER did I lose anything. Well, just the current stuff when the cartridge popped up, but never anything more.
I see you want Flora? I have her in one of my towns. I am too scared to TT to give her to you, but if you are willing to wait for a "natural" move you can have her. If you do, please PM me and I'll save her for you in my Sig. That's how I keep track. And if you get her in the meantime, no problem. I don't have bells I can give you, but hopefully I can get you Flora if nobody else can.

Thanks for all your well wishes. As I said, I had JUST saved and folded the ds, it still could have been saving, I was in that much of a rush to the door I just snapped it shut. So it was probably still in a saving cycle when ejected. I don't think ejecting the cartridge alone could corrupt but you never know.
My fianc? has apologised and I left it at that, he's letting me put as much time in the game as I need haha.
I managed to get a first house upgrade and worked on the island with sharks and bugs all night and now have a dream suite! Thanks to player help I also have a campsite now. We are getting there!! Woo! X

I'd just really like to thank those of you for the PM's and the help you have given me...without you it would have been difficult for me to persevere and re-build but i honestly really appreciate all you have done for me and the support you've shown xx
Do you want me to reserve Flora for you? I wait for "natural" moves, if that is okay. If that would take too long for you, I understand. But I can always put her on hold and you can PM me if you get her in the meantime.

Hey Sourpuss, I'm sorry about what happened to your game.
I'm impressed you are finding the will to start over. A game like AC is so unique in that there is no real end goal, but it's the daily activities and interactions which makes it so interesting. I hope you find new reasons to love your new town and re-discover the magic which kept you playing all these months!

That's odd, the only time that's happened to me was when it was saving (I had to turn it off as it couldn't save, and it was corrupted), and that's only ever happened to me on wild world
