Design standee problem?

I have qr code I got from the internet that I want to put on a design standee but it won't let me, why?
How can I fix it?

Did you stand in front of the Standee, click A and get the menu of options, such as "Change the Design on Standee?" I didn't know how to at first, either. Someone told me that if you stand right in front of it and click A it gives you the option to edit the design of the standee that you have to have first thru Isabelle. It worked for me. Also, I'm assuming you copied all of the codes into the one Pro Slot that a design like that would ask for?

The design I have isn't pro though?
but yeah! I stand infront of it and it asks me if I want to change it, I click yes, but all the designs are blacked out?

Im pretty sure it only accepts pro designs made by yourself.It never worked for me if i tried using a design i got online

For some dumb reason you can only use your own designs on standees. There's a few websites you can use that changes the code so the game thinks you designed it though.

First, load a QR that you did create so the correct creator information will come up. Hit the copy creator button, then load the QR that you want to have, and hit the paste creator button and it will generate.

It didn't work I don't quite understand.

EDIT: Wait, I got it! But I can't seem to load a QR code for a pro design. I get an error.
