I personally find Puzzle league more fun but thats my opinion. So which do you prefer?

Puzzle League wins entirely on the basis that you don't have to either have amiibos or spend Play Coins to engage with it. If we ignore that factor and look at them based on their own merits, I think my winner would still be Puzzle League since I enjoy those types of games anyway. That said, I do still enjoy Desert Island Escape whenever I bother to play it.

Desert Island Escape, though both are pretty great.
I just find that I can manipulate the RNG easier in the former.

I would say that I enjoyed both equally, but I spent a lot longer playing Desert Island Escape because it was more of a challenge to earn all of the prizes. I love puzzle games and I'm pretty good at them, so it didn't take me long to beat everything in Puzzle League. Once I obtained all the rewards, I stopped playing both mini-games and went back to focusing on my town.

I'm pretty bad at puzzle league and trying to get the flower fairy set that one time... made me very frustrated with it T.T

I love puzzle league! Even when I went on ACNL hiatus I logged on occasionally to play puzzle league. My favourite mode is time attack. I was able to beat story fairly easily without special amiibo, but now that I beat it I like using Reese’s special move. I like DIE as well, mainly for the adorable animations. That game is much harder for me though. I haven’t been able to progress very far with the villagers I have, so I think I’ll attempt it again later with my amiibos (totally forgot about using them in DIE).

I like both Puzzle League and Desert Island Escape. I voted for Puzzle League simply because you don't have to waste any play coins in order to play it. (Now I might be wrong, but I think both games had the amiibo functionality, which made the game a lot easier for players who actually bought one.)

In terms of enjoyment, I had more fun playing Desert Island Escape than I did Puzzle League. It had a sort of Mario Party and Final Fantasy Tactics feel to it in the way you move and had to strategize how to best use your items or whether the better option would be waiting.

It took me ages to realize I could play mini games both on my Wii U and 3DS systems within New Leaf. I discovered by random chance (when I was clicking on my furniture) that I could play Puzzle Leauge, and another TBT user told me about Desert Escape being playable using a Wii U. Oddly, I found both mini games to be a lot funner than New Leaf itself, so i found myself playing them (and island tours) more than the main game itself.

Definitely D.I.E. It was super fun, yet challenging. And using your favorite character Amiibos made it even more enjoyable.

It's a charming game altogether.

I prefer Puzzle League here, mainly because it's simple to play and I also like the items you can win. Although it's a fun mini-game, I sucked a lot in Desert Island Escape. Even the easy mode was already a challenge for me, not sure if I just had bad luck or did something wrong.

Desert island escape I actually found pretty fun. I got bored of it after a while, but was definitely better than puzzle league for me at least.

Desert Island Escape was SO frustrating, but I loved it.

Got some fantastic items and a crapload of MEOW coupons.

You can breeze through it using kangaroos.

Sylvia, Walt and Mathilda got me through.
Seven turns each if whimsy doesn't kick in. :)

I enjoy both! But slightly leaning to Puzzle League due to busyness irl lately. Sometimes I log on to my town only to play puzzle league to speak honest. Highest that I hit in score attack so far is like 4650 medium difficulty. Now trying to reach 5000. It's so addictive and helps me be blank when I'm tired from work and whatnot.

Desert Island Escape for me, I am probably the worst puzzle league player on the planet so I don't have much of a choice between the two.
I've persevered with puzzle league but don't seem to improve much at all. :(

Puzzle League, because it was faster (you could stop after one round, and it wouldn't take like 30 minutes like Desert island escape). Sometimes you just gotta go fast. :D
(Also, shaking my 3DS for the play coins was a pain)
