That was really kind of your manager. I think the world would be a much better place if more people acted like that.

That's really great that you work for someone so empathetic and understanding. I've learned from mistakes of the past to always strive to be a better person, but also understand that others are going through their own struggles daily. I wish people were quicker to respond to others with empathy than negativity. It seems society thrives of negativity and lacks understanding of others all for the sake of making one's self feel better by comparison. You are fortunate to not work for one of those people.
