I absolutely love decorating my house (or “house”-my character lives in a tent so I made his house into a lodge)! I’ve still gotta work on that because I’ve got super busy with my island exterior lol

I love putting custom designs on furniture. New Horizons just doesn't have too many options for that. We have log and a few wood pieces. I miss the alpine set. I'm also disappointed that we have so few sofa options. Log, that simple one that comes in different colors, cute, box, diner. I think that's it ? A rattan sofa would have been nice too. Previous games had a sofa for every furniture set.

I like decorating at harvey's first and then taking screenshots so that I know exactly how much of one furniture item i need to order and to visualize what I want a room to look like without spending unnecessary bells

yeah kind of. all of my rooms (my house is fully expanded) are empty except for the main room. i'm planning on changing that though

Each time I've unlocked a room I've decorated that but I'll be honest and say its rare I've ever gone back and redecorated that room. Its mostly bottom of my list as half the time I don't ever even go in the house. My bedroom - first unlocked room is completely unchanged since I first got it. Maybe I'll make it my next mission as others have said there isnt unfortunately a great deal of choice.

I understand how you feel because I’m in the same boat with my island. I love decorating my house because having constraints on shape and the ability to pick wallpaper and carpet helps me design but I just... My island looks awful and people keep commenting on it. Honestly though I wouldn’t worry, this instalment might place a lot of emphasis on decorating but there isn’t any rush or pressure to do so. You don’t have to if you don’t want to

But you can start if you want by looking what your favourite set and colour is in the game and try and complete it?

I've spent a good amount of time decorating my house, and it's at an S grade, but I miss a lot of the variety of furniture items and sets that we had in NL. My house is just boring. Hopefully with a Halloween event I will get some more furniture items that suit my aesthetic.

I don't hate it, I just don't see the point anymore. I think I decorated the main room and back room before I stopped because it's really all the same. It doesn't help that there seems to be a limited amount of furniture in NH and it seems so much easier to get higher HHA ranks.

I actually really like decorating the interior of a house, more than decorating the island itself. I like how you can see 360 degrees inside so you can take photos from all angles and especially find it fun if it's an alt account's house where rather than a normal house it's a hotel or something so you can get really creative with it.

Kind of, but that's mostly due to the lack of actual larger sets, too. If they had everything from NL that'd been another thing.

nope, I really enjoy decorating houses! it was the first thing I started decorating actually. for me, it was less daunting to start decorating a house than an entire island aha

I don't hate decorating my home because I don't like the furniture or whatever, I don't enjoy decorating my home ... because I'm just awful at it, lol. u 3u I have that ' put everything against the walls ' syndrome ... hh.

I don't hate it but it's not my favourite thing - I LOVE looking at furniture and what other people have done with their homes but somehow when it comes to making my own rooms look nice everything just ends up around the walls and there's nothing in the middle! once my burnout is a bit more cured I'll probably work on it more because even though I have a solid HHA rating it's been the same for months and I'm getting bored of it..

I wonder if anxiety would be less of a problem if the HHA didn't exist. I got all of the HHA rewards months ago, but it's still annoying to have it tell me that I made a piece of furniture face the wall or that I left stuff scattered on the floor (they mean dropped DIYs lol). Shut up HHA, I can do what I want to.

I definitely had more fun decorating my house in NL, the furniture options were just so much better! I had to make a set plan with items lists for how I wanted my rooms to look in NH, otherwise I just wouldn't have known what to do. So far all I've done is throw a bunch of stuff on the floor until I unlock the relevant DIY recipes for what I want,,

I have fun with it now. Spending TBT to catalogue all the orderable furniture was probably one of the best decisions I've made so far because it bothered me so much to have to settle for using only the furniture I found in Nook's Cranny and balloon/tree drops. I just rolled my eyes through making design changes every week until I attained the final HHA achievement; now I do what I want in my house and live my best life.

My house is a mess! I loved designing the inside of my house in New Leaf but I’ve been so focused on trying to get my island the way I want it that I’ve completely neglected my house

I like decorating houses but I feel like my NH house is a bit too big for my liking. For this reason, my alt house that I made ages ago still has zero progress lol. I never made my house with this many rooms in NL so it was definitely challenging coming up with ideas for a mansion as opposed to a cosy 4-room or something! I'm also not a huge fan of the upstairs/basement sizes. I still don't know what to do with my basement and I'm kind of dreading working on it.
