Mine is Bones! He's so sweet and he has a house that looks like a little library inside. He loves to play and is so good-natured. He's never once fought with any villager. He's so sweet. 100% would recommend Bones!
Lucky! He was actually the first dog villager I ever had after finding him on a random island. He's both really cute and can also work well with a horror/halloween aesthetic. I find the lazy personality really suits dogs! Lucky's definitely become my favourite islander over the past few weeks.

My favorite of the Dog villagers is definitely Lucky. His mummy design is great, and he and Ankha were a pair in one of my New Leaf towns for years since they're both based on Ancient Egypt.
Marcel's probably my second favorite due to his mime design and French catchphrase.
Also fond of Butch and Shep from past experience.

Mine is either Lucky or Goldy! Goldy because she actually represents a real dog and Lucky cause he's just so cute! (dont know if I got genders right sorry if I did)

I haven't had many dogs, not by design, but because of the rng thing.
I had Lucky back in ACGC, and he was sweet. I've met him on other islands in NH and he seems just a cute.
Goldie was in my NL town, and she's a doll. I love normals, so I'd recommend her in an instant.
I think I had Cookie in ACGC, as well. Again, a normal, but she's cute.

Goldie and Bones for sure! They're designed after real species (Golden Retriever and Beagle, respectively) and both are just super sweet and cute to talk with. :3 The realistic, more "basic" look pairs so well with their personalities. I would protect them at any and all cost. 
Another Bones here! All lazies are apparently the same... but he just feels different. He seems to be the sweetest villager you'll ever meet and oh I just love him so much. He has an adorable design, perfect for his personality, and his house beautiful. I definitely recommend him, Bones is a great dog to have!

I like Portia because she's housebroken and good with children.The only negative is that her temperament is a bit spotty.

Shep. TBH, dogs aren't my favorite villager species (and not JUST because I'm an avid cat person who was bullied for liking cats as a child and thus distances herself from loving dogs for fear people will think I've caved to the pressure and am now a dog person and... I wish that was a joke). Their heads are kind of weird and I feel like some of them just look like their heads will tip 'em over. But with Shep's added fur, I feel like it makes the head look a bit more balanced. Plus, I just think his appearance fits his smug personality. Also, I have him on my island now, and when he's surprised his hair parts and reveals one of his eyes... and it's precious 
I'm also fond of Lucky, though. His mummy bandages keep him from looking too top heavy and I love any creepy themed villagers! I happened to find him on an island during my last island-hopping excursion, and I just couldn't resist him, especially so close to Halloween.
