Going through the 9 dreamies I’ve decided on:

• Cyd - given to me for free by a kind user here way back around late March/early April
• Megan - found someone on Reddit that was willing to trade her for Julian right after I got Cyd (I have Julian’s amiibo)
• Raymond - found on a mystery island. I had him in my town 2 times before this time, and decided to keep him
• Reneigh - got her through campsite resetting after having her and giving her away 3 times before
• Penelope - found a kind user here who had her amiibo card
• Elvis - found on a mystery island and thought he was cute
• Bill - scanned in via amiibo
• Tipper - scanned in via amiibo
• Jacob - scanned in via amiibo

I still can’t decide on the last villager I want, but regardless I’ll probably scan them in with an amiibo. I’m particular about having original villagers when they move in so I can give them the outfits I want instead of whatever other people give them.

Good luck finding Kiki though! I’ve seen her a bunch of times on mystery islands and while campsite resetting.

I got one (Rosie) on a mystery island, the rest of my original dreamies (Butch, Stitches, Merengue, Kid Cat, Cherry) I bought on here lol.

Ellie, Julian and Apollo originally weren't dreamies, but they grew on me quickly to a point where I don't want to let them go. I found Ellie and Julian on mystery islands, while Apollo was my forced camper.

I can get Nintendo online's trial if I need to. However I'm not sure if it lets you accept other island's villagers if you're not the island representative.

I’m pretty sure you can. My roommate has used amiibos to invite characters from the campsite and invited villagers from mystery Islands. I wouldn’t think inviting them from someone’s Island should be any different.

One (Peanut) I got from Nookazon, and two I got from the New Neighbour Network on here (Fauna through a giveaway and Deirdre through a cycler, though I have decided I will let Fauna leave and give her to a friend of mine).

Either bought everyone super early on, or they were gifted to me by some super kind users!

 

[Late Night Thoughts]

Here's my life story lol:

• Carmen - Starter villager, she grew on me a lot.
• Audie - Campsite cycling, wasn't going to originally keep her, but she gets along with Carmen really well so I don't want to separate them.
• Tasha - RNG blessed me, I had a random plot open. Now she's my bestie.
• Kiki - Campsite cycling for Ketchup for a friend and instead I got Kiki. She was already a dreamie of mine because of Kiki's Delivery Service.
• Cherry - Campsite cycling, I wanted Reneigh but I settled for her.
• Fang - Bought him off Nookazon's discord, he was my best friend in NL and I missed him.
• Shep - Campsite cycling, also another NL best friend.
• Bam - RNG luck through random plot. Don't like jocks much but he's vv nice.
• Kabuki - Campsite cycling, also wasn't looking for him but I fell in love with his design and mean humor.
• Lucky - Campsite cycling, I wanted to replace him with Biskit (because I let him go a few weeks ago), but he's friends with Kabuki and I can't do them like that.

I swear by the campsite method. Basically, make sure you have zero villagers of the personality type you are after, then reset until you get the visitor you want at the campsite. I had no smugs when my boy Graham showed up, and no peppies when Audie dropped by.

I gave up and used Amiibo for a lot of them. I also bought some from people online.

However, I will always recommend buying villagers with NMT instead of island hopping. Villagers are cheaper now (I got Audie for 40 NMT), and island hopping is super boring. The RNG is always really really bad (unless u want an octopus), and you will definitely want to punch Orville in the face

Marshal, Melba, and Erik were Amiibo.

Diana, Molly, Audie and Sherb were Nookazon buys.

Raymond was through campsite resetting and I moved in Wolfgang as a random Cranky whilst looking for Raymond and he was so sweet I couldn’t move him out!

Judy was the only one I ground out mystery islands for. It took me about 150 tickets and 6 hours and I was looking for any one of Raymond, Judy or Audie at the time. It was hard work and after that I went the easier route!

Diana - she showed up at my campsite and I thought she was so pretty, so I played that card game until I won! Didn't even know she exisited before that.

Roscoe - he showed up when I didn't fill an empty plot. Also had no idea that would happen (can you tell this is my first AC game lol). He's such a cute demon horse.

Nana - she was the 4th villager to move to my island (not including the starters). I wasn't sure about her at first, but she grew on me and now she's definitely a permanent.

Raymond - found him today (!!!) island hopping. It took 7 NMTs which isn't much. I was so surprised! I was in the pokeninja discord villager queue for him for almost a month only to find him on my own.

Wolfgang - I got an amiibo off Etsy!

Lucky - found him while island hopping about a month ago (was looking for Raymond before I joined that queue). Couldn't pass him up. Originally I was going to trade him, but he grew on me.

Chadder - okay, he's not one of my favorites but he's one of my husband's favorites. He thinks it's hilarious that there's a mouse that looks like cheese named Chadder. I found him on an island tour.

Edited because I forgot Sterling! He wasn't exactly a dreamie, but I wanted a Knight as my island is named after a fictional queendom lol. I preferred the eagle to the chicken and got his amibo!

I still need to switch out Deirdre and Zell, but I don't know who I want... My husband wants me to invite Goldie (I have her amiibo). I'm thinking of also inviting Bianca (also have her amiibo).

I used amiibo cards for Punchy, Kiki & Roscoe. I found Merry on a mystery island but I messed up her house with a stupid black bass, so I kicked her out via amiibo card and invited her back with her amiibo card.

I actually regret using my amiibo cards a bit since for me, it takes away the experience of getting wanted/unwanted villagers and getting to know them along with the frustration of getting them to move.

@kazaf traded me his Raymond when a potential trade for him fell through and I was on the last day with am empty lot and no word from the poster whether any of the offers were declined or accepted. I’ll always be extremely grateful to him and I hope I can help him out with something since he really didn’t have to offer me his Raymond .

I still need to get Ankha, Lolly, Marshal, Rosie and/or maybe Sherb if I have room after I get Ankha, Marshal and Lolly. I have amiibo cards but want to hold off for now so I can meet some more villagers and get their pictures first .

Almost forgot Rudy: he wasn’t initially a dreamie but he is now; I started my island with him and he really grew on me from day one (in spite of me initially not caring much about his design and not liking the muscle talk).

So far in my current town:

• Judy: I bought her for 300 NMT. On my first island before I reset, I found her at the 8th island hop and that was downright ridiculously lucky.
• Merengue: I found her on the 56th island hop.
• Zucker: I found him on the 24th island hop.
• Fang: I bought him for 50 NMT.
• Marshal: I found him on the 7th island hop.

I am now patiently waiting for around the 30th~ as that is when a villager should be asking to move out, so I can try and find my next dreamie!

I only have six of them so far, but for three of them I used amiibo cards and for the other three I island hopped for them.
I'm trying not to buy any of the villagers I have planned. I always look forward to when I actually find one of the villagers I really want on an island.

I've gotten every dreamy randomly or within the first 10 nook mile tickets, except for Huck and Ankha who I adopted from someone else, and Chester who I spent 200+ NMT searching for! The rest are: Diva and Flora who were my starter villagers; Judy, Sly, and Snake who I wasn't searching for but found on a mystery island under 10 NMT; and Sylvana and Tom who were random campers I let move in!
