If you delete resident registration in new horizons for the resident rep, will the island be earsed?

yes, since they're the island rep, they are basically part of the island or something like that

Technically you cannot delete the island rep. Tom Nook won't allow you because of what that would mean. You have to delete game save from the Switch settings.

That sucks because I'm seriously thinking of quitting AC for good, and I wanted to make my wife's character the island rep.

Can't delete character, can't go online with an alt character without ANOTHER NO subscription, even if your alt characters are ALL YOU!
