When you decorate your house, do you stick to themes/furniture sets or do you use whatever furniture you like? I have never actually been into decorating my homes but I just now started wanting to and I was wondering what everyone does. :p

I am actually kinda bad at decorating. I generally try to give each room a theme and match furniture based on that.

Currently, I'm making a house that is 100% harmonious themed. Im choosing a lot of Zen and Zen garden items, it's very Japanese inspired. But, when Im designing any house, I always take into account the Feng Shui of the room. To me, it's very important the get those extra points. I almost always keep rooms to a certain theme or style.

Main town I decorated the way I wanted to. Early on I did the sets to get the point but it didn't make me happy.
With my other towns I have a Vegas Hotel, Holiday House, Campus College House, all Gracie house, my grandmother house, bug/weeding/fishing/ island house and Snow House.

Still working on the campus college house.

I use whatever furniture I like. I don't like the idea of doing sets because it can get kind of boring and repetitive when you see the same sets again and again.

My houses are themed, I think it's more fun and challenging that way! I'm making a school on one cartridge and then a nice little...homey, neighborhood home on my second cartridge.

i use a whole mix of furniture, tbh i find it kind of boring if it's just one furniture set to one room, it's just not my kinda taste. i like having a bunch of different stuff happening or finding furniture sets that go with another. as for themes, i have a general and vague theme for my houses but it's never that specific cause i end up running out of ideas haha. decorating my town is definitely more fun for me though, i tend to neglect interiors a bit

I love doing theme's I like them matching. However this time I named my town Alfheimr, the land of the faeries so I decided to make my house and whole town fairytale themed.

It depends :o for my own personal mayor house, I use furniture that I like. For mule characters, I like to create themes for fun, whether it be with a set or a particular style I'm trying to aim for

I just use the sets and leave it at that. Never really been into decorating my home. I'm not all that great at it either. Sometimes I add things like paintings, little kicknacks like food, stuff like that

I love decorating though, both online and off. It's somehow very fulfilling to me, seeing the sets with nice little items to pull it together. Also the hunt for a certain theme and then finding the pieces to it is really exciting, maybe I'm just a weird one though.

at first I modeled my house after my WW house and stuck with items from their respective series but now I really like to mitch max things around and see what looks good together even though they aren't part of a set :] I think it gives a lot more personality and makes it so unique!

I mainly just stick to sets. If you want to check out how I decorate it just search Lumious and ObsMdkpz in the dream suite. I dunno if it's still there since I restarted that town. I also remember there being a sweets player in my main room that shouldn't be there if it still exists

i have room ideas that i then put into my houses lol. i have 3 houses. my mayor is mostly kust furniture sets that i like, my first side character has a kitchen, the blue, green and ranch series and 2 pretty empty rooms. my second side character has a theme with 2 classrooms, one kuddie/nursery room, a nurse's office and then i have 2 rooms that idk what to so with yet :>

I like my rooms all so much better when their furniture is all from the same set?? (different sets in each room though obv) Idk, matching furniture usually makes me feel better. One of my rooms though has both the modern and the minimalist sets combined. I prefer to pick a theme for the whole house and decorate each room that way. Kitchen, bedroom, living room, etc. :>
