I kind of want a new 3ds exclusively to hack on.
Obvious reasons, I dont want to mess up my original 3ds. I also dont eve know where to start into looking for a cheap 3ds and or how to even get started with hacking. But Im curious but i heard it can mess up your 3ds.

My 3DS is hacked and there's literally no problem at all. It can be risky if you don't know what you're doing but yeah. It's quite easy to be honest there's a lot of ways to hack your 3DS, if you really wanna be safe you can buy another one but it's pretty rare that someone messes up their console. I mean if you know what you're doing everything should be fine.
Also hacking may seem funny at first but let me tell you one thing, especially on animal crossing, it can ge boring VERY quickly, once you have everything you just don't wanna play anymore, that's why I restarted a full non-hacked town :)

But yeah in conclusion, if you wanna be extra safe you can buy another DS, although I don't think it's a good investment.

If you do decide to get a new console, look on ebay! Always be careful to read the descriptions before you buy anything because if you purchased something that said it wasn’t working, you know, that’s on you for not paying attention & they may not help you or refund you due to it. However, I’m confident that you can find a used and cheap console... especially if you get an original 3ds or something instead of a newer released one.

If ya don’t like that site, I also use the Marketplace on Facebook - it’s built right in. Just whatever you do, DON’T get a console from Gamestop or other stores IRL that are usually overpriced. If you accidentally break it, you’ll be happier with a hand-me-down console instead of a brand new one that you might not be able to return to a store, you know?

I’ve gotten, at this point, four or five 3ds systems so I am a little bit savvy when it comes to that stuff. Thats just my advice, you can totally ignore it if ya want :) Good luck!
