How do you guys deal with storage problems when the museum gets full and all of your storage slots are taken up? I'm have that problem now :P

I don't let it get full. Trash, retail, or sale. Along those lines, I had a sale thread active for weeks. The storage problem is also offset by me having an alternate character and a second town.

Abunch of extra clothing went to my harvest town beach. A couple of nights ago I went thru my closet and removed a lot. Kept summer clothing, favorites and Gracie items. Gracie clothing is in 2 museum rooms.

I also started going thru my saved mail. Found I had Gulliver items saved in the mail. I already have a showcase house in my other town with all those items. Took out the Coffee shop items I won and sent them to my Hotel town.
I now have room to store my tools and special bugs again. Need to save the tarantula for a villagers request.

I tend to toss items on the ground if it's a more immediate thing like my inventory is full and my storage is full and I need time to clean it out. The beach is a good place to do that since it's easier to find them again. I also use my secondary characters to store stuff for me. Once you get the museum upgrade you can also store things in the museum rooms you can rent.

It also helps to go through your storage and inventory and check which items are re-orderable, then sell those. Keep just stuff that is rare or that you really want to keep for some reason. If it's something like a shirt that you can order again, you don't need to keep it because you can order it from the catalogue in the Nooklings shop once it upgrades. That makes it easier to get rid of things since, if you're not sure when you'll be using something again and it costs just like 300 bells, you can probably just sell it and re-order if you ever want it back.

For storage, the easiest solution is to pare everything down by selling all your reorderable items.

You might not even know that you have them, and they've just been taking up space!

(At least, that was my situation, and I hope it helps you.)

there's 180 more storage spaces in the post office but you need to attach stuff to letters and keep track of box #, letter, row, and column
I also store tools in the mail compartment of my pocket by attaching them to letters

Honestly if i dont want it in my house i dont need it and usually throw it away furniture wise.I keep only what i need truly

Meh I usually do a clean out every so often to keep things clear! I basically just go through and separate the things I want from what I don't, then I'll hold a giveaway of some sort for some of the more sought-out items I don't want:)
