Dead Spots and How to Deal With'em?

So I'm curious on the details of Dead Spots in a town.

Ya might ask "What is a Dead Spot"? These spots are areas that trees and bushes will not grow at all even though it meets all other conditions such as not bein' too close to a structure or follow other bush or tree growth rules.
As far as I know there's no known official name for these spots.

Now I want to know is there a way to fertilize these spots or are there none? How do ya folks deal with these such spots that simply ruin's yar landscapin' day? What determines if a spot is a Dead Spot?

Any other known detail on Dead Spots is highly appreciate'd!

Far as I know, dead spots are dead no matter what you try to do. Pretty sure you can hack to bypass this issue, but beyond that, we just have to deal with it.

I got pretty lucky with dead zones in my one town, since they're mostly in hard to notice spots in my landscaping.

Do ya have Dead Spots on grassy areas as well or are they only on dirt patches?
Unfortunately for me, I have around 5 Dead spots for me on some of the worst possible spots for my landscapin'. I hate havin' my otherwise perfect bush wall bein' mar'd by random Dead Spots all over.

I have them. They are really annoying. I basically use them as part of my paths or I plant/place stuff on top of them to hide them.

I had a few in my second town, so I gave up trying make an orchard in that spot. Placed a PWP there instead, and everything worked out.

Can I safely assume that if there were no dead spots, EVERYone would be far better off?

I honestly haven't come across any of these in my town. I ended up with a town that has 5 rocks, but thankfully it doesn't ruin landscaping too too much. Like others said I think you have to hack in order to bypass it.

I don't think I've encountered any spots like that. The only dead spots I've encountered were just patches of dirt that absolutely refuse to grow grass, but it's not the same thing.

Weird, I haven't encountered these in my town before.. But then again, there's an entire area in my town that I haven't landscaped yet. Now I'm nervous D: Does every town have these? What is it's purpose??

I know I have at least three or four of them at the top of my town. I tried to grow some bushes to line my path there, and only three would grow. The rest of the spaced were dead

dead spots aren't so much an issue for me in my forest town since the trees and bushes are pretty much random. however, those dirt patches that never grow back really piss me off.
