Dark Veil (Roleplay)

"That's still impressive! When I first tried to make a fireball, it took about five attempts to even produce a flame. My staff just sparked at first..."
 
"Don't worry about times when you can't do it, that happens to everyone who is starting out," I reassure her. "If it keeps fizzling out, it's usually because you aren't using enough energy, try gripping the staff tighter to help your energy flow through it from your hands."

I grip the staff tightly, and force my energy out in a burst. A bigger fireball appears, and knocks the dummy's head off.

"Great!" I quickly fix the head back onto the dummy. "Your aim was better that time too. Want to try a moving target? It's pretty much the same, you just have to try to time it right."
 
"This is where the dummies aren't as good," I say, pushing them out of the way and Walking back a bit. "Focus your energy, then release it at me as I walk past," I instruct her, before creating a forcefield-like shield to stop the fireball from burning me it it hits.
 
I nod, and focus my energy, trying my best to concentrate. As Misa walks past, I unleash my energy, and a fireball is chucked towards her, and fizzles as it hits her shield.
 
"Impressive, that would have been a head shot if I didn't have the shield," I tell her. "It's really surprising how good you are already."
 
I sit down on a bench. "I never knew that learning magic could be so exausting!"
 
(Alright, I've been given order by FoxWolf to have you all answer this question: How many of you would like to die at the end of the RP?)
 
"Yeah, it take quite a lot of energy when you're starting out," I say, sitting beside her. "With magic, you really have to be careful not to push yourself too hard, because of how much energy it takes. I passed out because of using too much during our first assignment..."
 
I get up after being punched by Cindra. She can punch pretty hard! It wasn't broken, it wasn't bleeding, but it still hurt. With what energy I had left, I got up and left for the pool.

(I think I may have FoxWolf give out one last assignment before the rest of the planned part. He's currently ill though.)

"I remember that. That was when Fein threw pinecones, right?" I laugh.
