Dark Veil (Roleplay)

( I'll be the sphinx )

The sphinx suddenly opens its eyes, and yawns.

What opens at the close
What is drowned in souls
Run by a man
As dark as night
Eternal doom
And eerie light

"Did it speak?" I say. Was it a riddle?

 

[PurplPanda]

"It'll probably kill you, which I have no problems with..." I mumble under my breath.

(Was that directed at Cintay? Also, I made a goodbye post to you on the DDCO)

 

[Beary]

I listen to the entire riddle that the rasping voice said, and nod. "I think I know the answer.."

"What is it?" I ask.

 

[Beary]

"The Underworld?" I say to the sphinx, and it's eyes glow red. It stands with a scrape, and walks aside, revealing a door behind it.
You may pass.

As the door opens, I stand near the front, ready to defend the others in case of an attack. "Are we ready to go?"

 

[PurplPanda]

(WE NEED TO WAIT FOR FOXBOOTY)

 

[Beary]

"Wow Cindra, you're good with riddles," I tell her as she answers correctly.
"Ready as we'll ever be."

"Let's go," I say, leading everybody through a dark hall.

Nodding, I follow the others into the dark hall, on the look out.

We arrive at a large spa-like room. The walls and ceilings are filled with paintings of greek gods and goddesses. However, one thing stands out. A girl with blonde straight hair, blue jeans, and a leather jacket, is painted as well. Well, that's off... I think. Along with that, a small statue of a Hydra stands in front of us.

Even though the statue was small, it was still a little intimidating. "What's going on?" I whisper cautiously incase someone was listening from the shadows.

"This place looks amazing... A little strange though..." I mutter, following the others into a large room. I examine the paintings, and notice that the one of the girl in jeans is painted in a far different style to the rest.

 

[cannedcommunism]

"Help…"

"Huh?" I say, and I realize it's coming from the girl in the painting.

"NO!!! SHE IS MINE!"

The hydra statue comes to a natural color and grows larger. Soon, it is moving and breathing fire. I aim my bow. "Stand back!" I order.

 

[CommanderLeahShepard]

At the order to stand back I refuse. "That thing is huge, you can't take it on by yourself!" I say as I spin my new scythe around my body and ready for battle.

I fire a starting arrow into the Hydra's mouth, hoping I did away with it. However, it simply swallows it and grins a menacing dragon smile. That is creepier than it should be...

 

[PurplPanda]

"Misa! Use fire magic!" I scream to her, throwing knives in the side of the dragon-like beast.

 

[CommanderLeahShepard]

"Cover me!" I say, running into battle.
"On it!" I say firing firebolts at Hydra.
When I get up close, I leap into the air and fly at the beast.
