These parasites affect the others so badly... How come I seem to be immune?
"Hey, Raphael, is there any way that someone would be immune to parasites?"
 
I walk along the corridor and see Misa and Raphael talking about parasites. Not wanting to interrupt, I wait around the corner and listen in so they can't see me.

"Well, there are 3 trials in the Underworld that will test your mental and physical skill. Many die, but those who survive become pure. My colleagues actually died trying to complete it, which I won't go into further detail. But I assume you haven't gone through these, right?"
 
I decide to go to the coffee shop alone, and get another latte.
I walk there, and order one, then sit down at a table near the window, and read my book.
 
"Yes. I wasn't allowed to go along because I was deemed too young. I waited outside for them, and heard screams. Six, in all. I…can't talk about it anymore. So if you hadn't passed that, that means only one thing…"
 
"They all went in there... maybe it has something to do with him..." I mutter to myself. It was said quietly, so I don't know if Raphael heard.

I noticed Rapheal protest, and Cindra stormed off. REAL BIG SURPRISE. I thought very sarcastically. I walked up to ***face, who was talking with...I think it was Misa? "Hey, ***face, what's the fantasy story that you ripped out of a novel that you're telling her this time?" I wasn't exactly sure why I felt like being so aggressive, but I just felt like it.
 
"Taylor, bad time, go away," I snapped at him, a little more aggressively than I intended.

"My brother, James... He was part of the previous generation... But when the rest died, excluding you of course, he went missing. No one even saw his body, so he wasn't confirmed dead..."

I felt like I was listening in to some personal stuff, was this right? I wonder to myself. No it wasn't I turned to leave so I didn't intrude on Misa's privacy. No, stay, we have to know about the parasites. the other me hissed in my ear. No I am leaving I say to the other me. Pain shot down my head, STAY it screamed but I ignored it and walked off.
 
"HEY!" I yelled at Taylor. "I actually went through this loss, so don't say another thing about it," I say, closing the door on him. "James? I remember him going in there. He must've gone out another way, because he didn't come out where I was. Possible he betrayed everybody else for his own intentions…"
 
I finish up my latte and go back to the hotel. I walk up to Raphael, not realizing that he was in a conversation.
"Um, Raphael, when are we going to get another assignment?
 
I drew my dual swords. "You say another word and I'll make sure you'll never see the face of the Earth again!"
 
"Tomorrow. We're going fugitive hunting."

"Let's go," I say to Misa, leading her to the Brute room and closing the door.

"Taylor, do you want to be frozen again?!" I shouted.

I then followed Raphael into the brute room.
"James wouldn't have done that... He was the kindest person I knew...." I say, trying to fight back tears that were forming in my eyes. "There must have been a good reason if he did leave..."
He wouldn't have betrayed them, would he?
