Should I make another one? No, he'd probably find and destroy that too... Though I'm not sure if he actually knew what it was...?
I decided not to and I simply resumed reading my book.
 
I exit the hotel and go to the ocean, behind the hotel and where we had disposed of the Medusa hours earlier. I sit on the grass and stare into the sky, it was a beautiful shade of blue. Closing my eyes, I heard the screams, memories from my past. I felt the fire as if it was real again, but I knew it was all in my mind. The look in their eyes... When I killed them.

I snap out of it shaking my head, it wasn't you! I tell my self. It was the other you. I shake my head forcing my memories to subside. Returning to my usual self I sat watching the day go by, alone.
 
Bored of reading after a while, and still not wanting to practice magic with my arm hurting, I decided to explore. I heard someone mention a beach a while ago but didn't know where it was, until I found it behind the hotel while I explored. I noticed Alex was sitting alone, so I went over to her. Sitting on the sand to her left, I sakd, "Hello Alex. You seem a little down, is something wrong?"

I turn my head to see Misa sit beside me. "I am... fine." I say uncertainly, a single tear rolling down my eye but I quickly wipe it away hoping she didn't notice. If she knew the reason I was upset, she would think I was a monster, probably even get me kicked off the team

"I..." I cut my self of, shaking my head as I feel my back tingle slightly, ugh, not now I say to myself.
"Misa, you don't need to worry yourself with me, its nothing." I say tilting my head up to face the sky.
 
"The amount of times I've said that, and nothing was fine... I can tell that something is up, but I won't ask if you don't want to say," I say, lying back in the soft sand.
 
Maybe I should tell her? She seemed like she could keep the secret, but if she didn't, my life was over... again. I turn to face Misa, "I am sorry Misa." I look to the floor, "if I tell you the truth, you would think that I was a monster..." I trail off.

"It's okay, you don't have to tell me anything," I say, in an attemp to reassure her. I knew myself how it felt to be constantly pestered into telling someone what was wrong, so I wouldn't do that to Alex.
 
"Thank you." I say to Misa, I did not want her to get involved in my mess.

"Aghhhh." I let out a small yelp and grab my back, the pain from my mark shot down my back and I could hear the voices again. Not now! I scream in my head and the pain only goes slightly but I still feel my mark tingle.

I wake up well-rested. I walk down to the pool and request a song. I then take off my shirt and jump in. After awhile, I start thinking. What happened with Taylor and Misa last night? I resurfaced and asked Misa, "So, what was going on last night?"

(Wait, is it morning or what?)
 
"Yeah..." I let out. "Just a... little back pain." That was an obvious lie but I couldn't have her find out the real reason. I have to get back to my room before anyone notices that something was up. My back was on fire again why now?

I jump out of the pool. "You should get some rest. Go up to the Brute room, I'll meet you there," I say, trying to offer assistance. I turn to Misa. "What's wrong?"

(OK, morning it is!)

"Yeah." I say getting up and walking back to my room. "See you later... Misa." I stagger back to my room slowly but nearly collapse. To stop my fall I catch the wall and breathe heavily. Just calm down, and the pain will go, just like it always does. Regaining my balance I reach the brute room and sit on my bed. Calming down the pain goes and I feel relaxed again.
 
(Lets just say Cindra and Fein are out of the coffee shop and Fein just woke up)
I wake up from my dreams of adventure and mystery, and decide to head down to the pool, where I see Raphael and Misa talking. "What's happening?" I ask, with concern in my voice.
 
"Hi Raphael. I was just sitting with Alex, and her back started hurting. We're fine. Oh, yeah, Taylor had officially lost it last night." After a moment, I added, "Hi Fein."

I bury my face in my hands. So we're fighting with a madman…Great... "Alex just got back pain, and is in the brute room at the moment," I say to a curious Fein. "I'm going to check on her." I walk up to the brute room and sit on the bed next to her.
