I take a torch off the wall as I lead Alex and Misa to Hades. I navigate the narrow corridor, and look into every cell. No sign of him. Was Atlas lying? I think as I go further into the dungeons.
As we go deeper into the dungeon, there are more prisoners. All kinds of creatures bang on their cells wanting to be set free. At last, we find Hades. He is paler than usual (which is pretty pale) and he has scars on his thin arms. He looks up at us.
I look to Raphael to see how he will handle the situation then look back. "How did you end up in there? I am sure you didn't just walk in and forget your keys." I ask Hades.
"No…" I say weakly. "Atlas captured me. He was tired of holding up the world, and so he imprisoned me. But thank you for putting him in his place…now what do you need?"
Trying to pick the lock without magic first, I take a hair slide from my hair and twist it into a shape that fits into the keyhole, and attempt to open it. Failing that, I take out a bottle of water, control it to go into the lock, and freeze it to make an exactly fitting key.
(Ok) "Misa before you open the cell I want to speak with him." I ask Misa to restrain from opening the cell straight away. "We need to get out of here." I tell Hades. "Do you know the way back to the human realm? If so, we could trade that information for your freedom out of these cells." I say to him hoping he will take the offer as it will make our life a lot simpler.
We exit the castle and get to the green river, which turned out to be the River Styx. I give Cerberus one last belly rub, and we get in the boat. The boat carries us across a thick green lake. We come into a cave, and then come back into the sewer. "Well, I didn't know that our hideout was a passage to the Underworld. The others must be worried as ever."
