James points his finger to his mouth and makes a kissy face then sticks his tongue out.
I knock James over with and elbow and shake my head at Aions to imply that he doesn't want to do that. I then put my finger to my lips and do a quick peck.

I look at Alex. Considering she probably knows what's best, I lean over and kiss Chiyoko on her cheek, feeling a bit more confident.

(James and Alex start to sway, singing, "Just, kiss the girl!")

My eyes widen slightly as I take in what just happened. He kissed me.... He kissed me!

I see James get to his feet and laugh, pointing to his mouth again and sticking his tongue out again. I push him back into the water and turn to Aions and wrap my arms around myself. Hug her.

But... I'm not sure whether I should take Alex's advice or not. I don't want to make her feel uncomfortable...

After a moment of hesitation, I decide to reach up a little and kiss him back. Except I kiss him on the lips instead of the cheek.

My face instantly burns up again. I smile, and hug her.

When they kiss, I smile and stretch my arms.
Getting out the water, I decide to pull my tongue out again.
"James, don't confuse him." I whisper to him.
"But it works for me." I chuckle before getting pushed back into the water and I laugh.

I rest my head just below his chin as he hugs me. "You're the first person I've ever kissed, you know..." I mutter so quietly that it's likely that he doesn't even hear.

"You too..." I say. "I hesitated because I used to be so afraid that I would hurt someone, I would never try to interact with people. I didn't know what to do."

I had watched the entire scene unfold up in a tree, and by the time he had kissed her, I was in tears.
Why had I let myself get attached? Why? All it ever did was break me even more.
Tears formed in my eyes, and I brushed them away angrily.
