Dark Veil 2

[TheCreeperHugz]

"I'm not going to go away if something is wrong. I want to be able to help you, not just run away," I reply quietly, rubbing th back of his head gently.

 

[CommanderLeahShepard]

"James are you-" I kneel beside him and check him arm.
"I think the bone is broken..." I mutter and grit my teeth from pain.

 

[Jawile]

I pull away from her, and kneel next to James. His arm is clearly broken. I use an old spell I remembered to form some ice to numb the pain.

 

[Beary]

I had dozed off in the tent, and by the racket, something was happening. "What's going on?" I say as I approach the others.

Just...go away Chiyoko! I grit my teeth.

 

[CommanderLeahShepard]

"Thanks." I say as it numbs the pain. "Care to explain why you broke my arm?"

 

[Beary]

I sigh, and nimbly jump down. "I can explain the entire tale, if that's okay with Aions."

 

[Jawile]

I hold James broken arm and turn to the others. "What is it?"

 

[Beary]

"Aions was cursed by a witch. I helped him try to break the curse.
Basically, he has episodes of destructive insanity that seem to have no cure. They can get so bad that he can destroy entire houses, or even kill. The added ice magic makes it even worse. He can't control it at all. We tried to find the cure, and it seemed to work, but obviously...it didn't." I finish.

 

[CommanderLeahShepard]

I listen and take in the story. "Oh, I see."

 

[Jawile]

Hearing the story from someone else's side makes it even more terrifying to me.
I bury my face in my hands.

 

[Beary]

"Now, if you'll excuse me." I say icily, and climb back up the tree.

"Can someone PLEASE tell me what's happening?! And why James's arm is broken?"

 

[CommanderLeahShepard]

I hold my broken arm and put my other on his shoulder. "I'm sorry, I didn't know."

 

[Jawile]

"It's okay, man..." I smile weakly. "I should have told you all at the first signs of it."

 

[Beary]

I start getting irritated. "Hello?"

 

[Jawile]

"I... I hurt him." I say. "But I didn't mean it."

 

[CommanderLeahShepard]

"Should we go back to camp?" I ask, it was starting to get dark.

 

[Jawile]

"Yeah... Yeah." I help James up, and walk back to the camp with them.

 

[CommanderLeahShepard]

"Will your arm be okay?" I ask James as walk.
"Don't worry about it."

 

[Beary]

"I could heal your arm James, if you want." I say, walking by him.
