Cycling with only one villager?

So, Henry decided to move out without telling me. I'm crushed because he's one of my all-time favorite villagers. I have all 10 dreamies in my town, but I'm determined to cycle to get him back. I have a second town I can hold him in while I do this, so I'm not worried about that, but is it possible to cycle with just your tenth slot? I know I'll have to invite every villager in because it's the tenth slot, but I was wondering if this is at all possible. Thanks!

From what I've read, it's extremely difficult to get a tenth villager out, let along sixteen tenth villager. Your safer bet would be to move a few out to your second town so you always have a few spots to move villagers around. You might end up having to cycle out twenty villagers in the end to get everybody back but it will take less time than having just one spot open.
