Cycling town question

Hello!
I've been thinking of getting another copy of ac and doing a cycling town, I was just wondering - would I need to use my partners Ds or does the game save to the cartridge? Also if I wanted a villager that was moving out of that town could I out the second copy in my partners Ds and it have the town on there?

You can play both cartridges on the same DS, it does not matter and does not affect the other. If you wanted a villager moving out of the cycling town, then you would have to have the cartridges on two separate DS and then visit the cycling town with the mayor you want the villager to live with!

Yea I have a cycling town, but only one DS,
sometimes it does get annoying switching back and forth,
people always expect you to be ready right away
but it is worth it, and you can make some good money off of it.
If you do want one of the villagers you will have to use your partners DS, but hey, free villager!

I only did cycling to save up money to create a new town on my cycling card with a certain theme and everything, I wanted to have enough bells saved up to get villagers, furniture, flowers, anything I needed and not have to worry.
