Cycling Question

So I just remembered I have a second copy of ACNL because my friend gave me his, and I want to cycle for dreamines...but I only have one 3ds. Is it possible to do this with only one 3ds? Thanks!

You can use the second copy for cycling but you won't be able to transfer villagers from the same console. You'll need another 2DS/3DS for that.

Yes, it's possible to cycle villagers with one console if you have two cartridges. However, you need another console to transfer villagers to another town. You can have other players adopt villagers and hold them for you until they're in boxes though. Personally, I prefer to cycle and sell villagers for BTB and use the BTB to adopt my dreamies from other players.
