Of course, this would apply to anyone in general who has ever given away a villager, though I imagine more frequently with cyclers.

As someone who started cycling a few weeks ago, I noticed how I only post 'popular' villagers here at TBT, the AC forum I am by far most active at, but when it comes to less popular villagers, I tend to cross post my giveaways at Animal Crossing Community, GameFAQ, villagertrade.tumblr, and Reddit. This is especially the case if, after searching for mentions of any given 'unpopular' villager, I do not come across any recent ones (besides cyclers saying so and so villager has moved in or was voided).

Fortunately, several villagers who I could not find homes for here got homes in other forums, the most recent example being Gala, but also other 'unpopular' villagers like Sydney, Frita, and Opal.

(That said, there was no way Harry was getting a home no matter how many forums I posted at, heh.)

I only put them on other sites when their void time has come.
Otherwise, in my personal opinion, it's not fair.

yes i post on my cycling tumblr the same time i post here and sometimes reddit. half of the villagers i've adopted out wouldn't have been adopted if i didn't post somewhere else

Reminds me when someone at Reddit politely asked I make mention that I am cross posting. I sometimes mentioned that I am cross posting, but was not consistent before the suggestion.

Not sure if what you call 'void time' is different from the more common phrase 'in boxes,' but if not then I suppose there is no disagreement since I always have villagers 'in boxes' during giveaways, though I sometimes 'rewind' time if I am convinced that there are takers out there who simply have not come across my post yet (a judgment I make by looking for recent 'interest' mentions of the villager here at TBT).

I dont cross post simply for the reason its hard to keep track of. Also, when someone posts slow om reddit but fast on acc, you would give it to the fast person on acc but the person on reddit might get disappointed because they thought they were first. So, just to avoid that situation...

Sometimes, I find it really hard to keep track of as well... I mean I would feel bad also because someone might be first on my instagram and think they are in top place for the bid... but then on here someone else is also in first.. and it gets kind of confusing.. but at the same time a lot of my bids wouldn't have worked out if I only posted them on here. I feel like I wouldn't want the villagers going into the great void.. so usually that is my last resort when I cross post. I'm pretty mixed about it.

I don't, I'd rather not go through all the hassle of making another account to giveaway a villager. I'd typically hold onto it for a bit if they were above tier 5 or go looking for someone who wants them in the looking for thread.

I don't, but I don't post who's moving anymore. Nowadays I cycle for friends, or just hunt out a single villager for one person. Then if a rather popular villager moves in as I go I'll try to find someone on here who is online at the time so I can trade as quick as possible.
