I really want to cycle in my main town to get some dreamies and make some bells. But the only way I have ever cycled was by just jumping forward by years (foolproof method). i dont want to lose any of my dreamies i have already acquired though. is their another method that isn't super tedious and slow? im currently doing the diving trick to have villagers ping me.

Well
I do the time travel 2 day forward and back
And it works for me pretty well
Just keep in mind save and quit
So the one you want to keep stay because the ping too

see i tried that but it just was refusing to work. i guess ill try again. i just really dont want to lose chief.

Because you needed to save and quit a couple times

But there another method here that works
But I have no idea where it is

unfortunately the diving trick doesn't make villagers move, it only works for PWPs. the only ways to cycle out specific villagers are the tedious ways such as the 2 days forward/2 days back trick. there's also the method of waiting until someone pings, telling them not to, and then TT'ing to the date they were going to move, as that will trigger another villager to ping about moving.

ooo, alright. i just have some dreamies i LOVE and then the rest of my villagers i want to just LEAVE already lol.. thanks!

Another thing
If that villager you want to make leave was the last move in...... it's really gonna be tedious because those are the hardest to move that they rarely move

you're welcome! I i completely understand, I've had the same issue countless times D: but yeah, unfortunately there's no guaranteed/safe way to choose who moves out, it's always going to be time consuming and overall annoying.

If a villager pings you to move out and you deny the request, you can safely TT 5 days forward without losing a villager since the soonest a villager could ping is the next day and that villager wouldn't move out for another 5 days. This accelerates the process since after 5 days, another villager is likely to ping you to ask you to move out. If you TT 5 days forward and no villager wants to move out, then go one day at a time until you get a moving request and then you can TT another 5 days forward. Make sure to talk to your villagers after you leap 5 days so you stay on speaking terms.

If there's someone you want to keep specifically though, make sure you don't TT until you've talked to them (to stay on speaking terms) and given them 2-3 chances to ping you. I lost two dreamies trying to cycle others out and not keeping on top of them so they didn't ping me to move ;-;. Always check your dreamies!
