Customising Furniture and HHA Points?

Hi!
I've been wondering this for a while now, but does customising furniture give you any bonus points? I've read that it does, but I've also read that it doesn't so I'm kinda confused! I'm currently being graded on the Fairy Tale theme and I've been stuck on about 1.5 million for about a month now and I have no idea how to increase my points.

I'm pretty sure Lyle told my character that customizing furniture gives more points. I haven't talked to him in a while so I'll ask him now and see if he happens to say anything about it!

Unfortunately he didn't say anything specifically about extra points, but I talked to him multiple times and he constantly mentions the fact that my furniture is customized so I'm thinking that it does provide some extra oomph to your score!
