Custom paths - so disappointing

So I'm a custom paths noob and I just found out today that when I overwrite a saved path, wherever I used the old path on my island is now the new path.

I just find that so disappointing because we have very limited space for paths!

Now I really have to decide if I want to use a certain path because I won't be able to overwrite as long as I want that design.

I don't know why I thought we could use all the paths we want and just overwrite it when we need another design and the old one will stay the same.

Now I hope they give us more slots for custom designs with the new updates.

Someone let me know if I'm understanding this wrong.

They already gave us a ton of new slots back in March, so I doubt they'll end up giving us more unfortunately.

There is a good thing about that fact though! If you have seasonal paths, you can change the seasons easily by overwriting the new path. It's a quick change without ever having to replace your paths every season
